I was amazed at the overwhelming impact of colourful tulips and other spring flowers at the famous Keukenhof, near Lisse in the Netherlands. 
 
The myriad varieties displayed throughout this wonderful garden (the largest Spring garden in Europe of 79 acres) are made up of more than 7 million hand-planted flower bulbs, planted annually.
